The much-awaited 3D trailer of the upcoming film Adipurush, featuring Prabhas in the lead role, was screened for select fans at a mall in Hyderabad on Monday evening. Fans showed up in large numbers to catch a glimpse of their favourite hero, and Prabhas was joined by the director, Om Raut, and co-stars Kriti Sanon and Bhushan Kumar to watch the trailer amid much fanfare.
It was an interesting moment when Prabhas, known for his signature phrase “Darling,” addressed the fans differently this time. Given the film’s genre, Prabhas greeted the audience with “Jai Shri Ram,” and to his delight, the fans echoed the greeting throughout the theatre. Speaking at the trailer screening, Prabhas said he would continue chanting “Jai Shri Ram” throughout the film’s promotional activities, to which the fans responded with great enthusiasm. Videos from the event went viral on social media, and the special gathering appeared to be an eventful affair.
Interestingly, Adipurush faced massive backlash when its trailer was first released in October 2022 for its poor VFX. Critics pointed out that the VFX made the characters look more like cartoons. As a result, the release date, initially set for January 2023, was postponed to June 2023 to rework the graphics and improve the product. The makers invested a lot of time and money to correct the VFX, and they finally released the new trailer on Monday.
Fans have been thrilled with the new trailer, stating that the characters in the film appear more realistic than before. Suddenly, there seems to be a dramatic turnaround, and the film is receiving positive vibes. Adipurush is a highly anticipated film, and fans can’t wait for its release in June 2023.
