Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the importance of water security for the development of India in the 21st century.
During a speech at Kodekal, where he laid the foundation stone for irrigation, drinking water, and National Highway development projects, Modi stated that the next 25 years will be crucial for building a developed India.
He highlighted the need for good crops and expanding industries to achieve this goal. Without naming the Congress, Modi criticized previous governments for not addressing the needs of the backward regions of north Karnataka.
He emphasized that his government’s priority is development rather than vote bank. He also pointed out that the dual governance of the BJP at the center and state level will bring double welfare for the state of Karnataka.
